Getting ready for Halloween: our little whitetail button buck!

Papa found Asa's first Halloween costume at Bass Pro Shops. He's going as a little whitetail button buck! I've never seen a cuter little buck!

First Camping Trip to McGee Creek State Park

Papa, Eric, and I took Asa to McGee Creek State Park to camp for the weekend while Papa and Eric put up tree stands for this year's deer hunting season. The state park is beautiful, and Asa did very well! I think he's a natural outdoorsman! :)

Ready to walk!

Asa bundled up and ready to walk! This is his first jean jacket, which looks adorable. We walk at least 4-5 days a week, which Asa loves and so do the dogs! Mommy is trying to get back in shape again. :)

1 month old- measuring growth in Asa's chair

This is a pottery barn chair that Mame and Papa gave Asa. We plan to take a picture of him in it every month to compare his growth. As you can tell, he had a bit of a "meltdown" during our posing for these pictures!

Asa's first state fair

Asa was about 3 weeks old when Eric and I took him to the state fair. He had a corn dog, funnel cake and cinnamon roll!! :) His favorite exhibit was the children's animal exhibit with the baby animals including chics and baby piglets.

First Smile and Cooing

Asa is about 1 month old here and this was his first smile and cooing. He is so precious!

Never enough Snuggling in our house

As you can see, we love to snuggle our little boy!

Mommy and Asa's Checkups

These are pictures of Asa with Dr. Kenneth Jackson at his 2 week checkup, and Asa with Mommy's Dr. Lauranne Harris. Dr. Jackson and Mommy work together with Dr. Donnie Berry at Grand Prairie Pediatric Asthma and Allergy Clinic. Mommy is on maternity leave until Nov. 10th, which she is enjoying very much!

Asa's 2 week old professional pictures

We had pictures taken when Asa was just 2 weeks old at Uniquely U photography in Choctaw. I loved how they turned out! Asa is such a cutie pie! My favorite picture is with Eric holding Asa on his arm. It's amazing how tiny he is!

Asa's Nursery

Asa is a very lucky little boy. His nursery was made by his Grandma and Mame. He has beautiful blankets, lettered blocks, curtains and bedding all custom made for him with bright colors. He also has vintage Beautrix Potter prints with Peter Rabbit and friends. I love his bright room and he does too!

Bath Time

Bath time is one of Asa's favorite parts of the day. He seems to really like hanging out in the warm water. Of course, we have to watch for any unexpected "accidents" while we're bathing him. He loves getting warm in his robes and then snuggling with his daddy after a bath.

Asa's birthday

On august 13, 2008 Asa joined our family after an extremely smooth delivery. He was visited by many family and friends in the hospital. Here are few pictures of that special day and a little video of our first meeting as a family.
